How would you weigh your options?

This guy was deep, he went along the rational route because rationality is a major trait among us(we use Banks because its irrational for us to keep all our money at the crib) . The greater truth is out there, somewhere waiting to either be discovered or waiting to unravel itself before us.  If there are causes and effects, then what was the very first cause before recorded history to result in the present effects? What are your thoughts on this subject peeps?
